Antoinette Boulangerie brings Parisian elegance and European indulgence to Red Bank

If you know Antoinette Boulangerie, the French bakery on Monmouth Street in Red Bank, it’s likely you’ve sought out their decadent desserts or one of their gluten-free cakes and cookies. Or maybe you’re French and needed an authentic taste of home – perhaps a croissant, tart or meat pastry- all prepared and baked on site. The bakery also makes custom wedding cakes and offers catering for events. The bakery was founded by two sisters, and when you walk through the door of the landmark Red Bank building, it’s like leaving Monmouth County and arriving in the heart of Paris. Even in a world where everyone is on a diet, co-owner Ayca User says the bakery thrives. Its high quality petit portioned treats, like chocolate flourless cakes and chocolate chip cookies, draw in a steady stream of customers (even the set coming straight from a workout at the Atlantic Club). “Everyone likes to indulge a little,” she said.

The bakery also offers French and whole grain breads, baked fresh daily. (Did you know Marie Antoinette actually said, “Let them eat brioche?” Right after that she said, if I ever get out of Paris I’m heading to Antoinette Boulangerie for brioche – its baked fresh daily there – and some freshly ground coffee.) You can find the shop next to the Dublin House and if you are worried about parking, fear not. There is complimentary 15 minute access to Antoinette Boulangerie from its private parking lot off of the public lot located on White Street. Just pass through the public lot and look for the back door.
