After Hurricane Sandy devastated the Jersey Shore, many homeowners and businesses were left to pick up the pieces and rebuild. Unfortunately, Bum Rogers was one of those businesses affected by the storm. In March 2013, four friends with a shared love of the Jersey Shore and the restaurant came together and purchased Bum Rogers, with the goal of restoring the beloved crab house to its glory. Although the restaurant’s interior has been renovated, you’ll still enjoy their same world famous garlic crabs and ice-cold beer when you come off the beach or out of Island Beach State Park.
There’s no doubt that Bum Rogers Crabhouse & Tavern serves some of the most sensational seafood on the Jersey Shore. When dining at Bum Rogers, start off with the housemade crab cakes, famous garlic crabs, or clams casino. Land lovers, we recommend you try their pizza, burgers, grilled chicken sandwich, NY strip steak or prime rib. And if you’ve come for seafood, try their fresh lobsters, hot and spicy crabs, fried seafood platter or fresh grilled salmon. Those are just some of the many delectable items you’ll find on their menu.
If you’re a football fan looking to get out and watch the game, Bum Rogers is where you want to go. Every Sunday, Monday and Thursday, you can watch NFL games on Bum Rogers’ 20 + TVs. You’ll also want to make it over for Beat the Clock Wednesdays and weekly band performances that keep you dancing and rockin’ out. They also have some holiday events coming up that you won’t want to miss. On Wednesday, December 31 from 9:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. they host a New Year’s Eve Party with packages for singles and couples that includes open bar, a lavish buffet, noisemakers, hats and a champagne toast at midnight.
