The Bistro at Red Bank: A New Breed of American Eatery

The Bistro at Red Bank, located on Broad Street in beautiful downtown Red Bank, NJ, is a new breed of American eatery. Pairing imaginative food and wine with caring hospitality, comfortable surroundings and exceptional value, the Bistro has been a popular destination for locals and tourists on the Jersey Shore since the Lyristis brothers opened the restaurant in 1996. With excellent ratings from the New York Times’ and Star Ledger, as well as Zagat Surveys, the Bistro has changed the restaurant landscape in Monmouth County and across New Jersey.

The Bistro at Red bank’s greatly diverse menu specializes in sushi, Mediterranean, French and New American cuisine, brick oven pizza and Asian-fusion. It may be hard to believe that a restaurant could make this broad of a menu successful, but the Bistro does it very well.

For appetizers, they serve everything from roasted butternut squash soup to Szechuan pork dumplings. The wood fired brick oven pizzas are made with fresh mozzarella, house-made ricotta and San Marazano tomatoes. Entrees include honey-miso glazed organic salmon, braised beef short rib, grilled garlic shrimp and teriyaki glazed chicken. Their signature rolls are exceptional, especially the Surf and Turf Roll with spicy lobster, avocado inside, sliced seared filet mignon outside, drizzled with fresh wasabi aioli. And of course, the fresh sushi from their outstanding sushi bar is a must. We recommend that you treat yourself to the 3 course prix fixe menu for $29 on Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

The Bistro offers red, white and blush wines from Chelsea Cellars and Alba Vineyards. Chelsea Cellars offers a variety of wines selected from some of America’s finest wine growing regions.  Most grapes are shipped from the Lodi district, just east of the San Francisco Bay area.  The wines produced are exclusively for sale in the winery and select NJ restaurants. Alba Vineyards offers a variety of wines from some of our states finest quality hand-picked grapes.

The Bistro at Red Bank also does catering for special affairs. They will arrange everything for you and make it a guaranteed success. With their catering and rental department conveniently in one place there’s no need to look elsewhere while planning.  Their rental department has tables, chairs, tents, chafing dishes and more. Choose from their party packages or party trays.

Whether you enjoy your meal in their outdoor seating area or large separated dining room with vineyard-style décor, the Bistro is a must for lunch or dinner. Call or visit their website to make a reservation.
