Gotham Lounge Attracts Sophisticated Crowd to Red Bank

Gotham, an upscale speakeasy-style lounge and art gallery, is bringing cultivated sophistication to Red Bank, NJ. The club, which recently took over the former space of Hamilton Jewelers on Broad Street, is attracting locals and visitors from across the region with its classic cocktails, creative menu, rich ambiance, and live entertainment. Open daily till 2 a.m. with entertainment starting at 9 p.m.

During the era of prohibition, the speakeasy, inspiration for the Gotham brand, brought people underground for evenings full of danger, delicious drinks, and exciting entertainment. Today, this same energy exists at Gotham, minus the danger and gangsters. Crystal chandeliers, warm décor, dark wood floors, gold tones, plush lounge seating, decadent bars, bottle service, creative cuisine, live entertainment, and a baby Grand Piano create the ambiance at Gotham’s two-floor lounge. Guests enjoy comedy shows, jazz music, DJs, and exquisite art on display. You will laugh one night hysterically and dance long into the evening the next. Call for a schedule of events and performers.

Classic cocktails with a twist make a huge comeback at Gotham. The bar’s specialty drinks include the Red Bank State of Mind with Lairds Applejack, Dorothy Parker Gin, Lillet, sugar pinch and orange bitters; Blood and Sand, a mix of Johnnie Walker Black, cherry herring, sweet vermouth, orange juice and orange bitters; Bootleggers Egg Cream, made with Four Rose’s Small batch, Baileys, cream, topped with club soda; and Gotham Punch. Their endless menu of more than 40 different types of bourbon/whiskey, Scotch, and spirits includes Tennessee whiskey, American whiskey, Kentucky bourbon, Canadian whiskey, scotch, Japanese whiskey, gin, tequila, rum, absinth, cognac and vodka. If you are more of a wine person, order white or red by the glass or bottle and sip in style. They also serve a variety of bottle and draft beer with more than two-dozen IPA’s, stouts, Belgian white and more. Bottle service is also available.

Gotham’s food menu is just as creative as its drinks with a variety of tasty appetizers, salads, burgers and sandwiches available. Small plates include the Cobble Pot with succulent Chilean sea bass, pico de gallo and tangy cayenne sauce packed in flour tortillas and the unique Kobe Sliders topped with goat cheese and caramelized onions that are both crowd pleasers. Straight from Pam’s garden are a range of salads such as the Vineyard with mixed greens, poached pears, craisins, walnuts and champagne vinaigrette among others. A variety of sandwiches like the warm Hangar 1 filled with thinly sliced hangar steak, caramelized onion and sharp cheddar or the Monte Cristo packed with smoked ham and swiss cheese are just a few of the regular favorites. Rounding out the menu are three Kobe beef burger variations with different toppings like avocado spread, Havarti or cheddar cheeses and the bottom of the bag chips. There’s also some sweet stuff like the Cap’n french toast with banana fosters and mascarpone and the stack of Flapjacks topped with cinnamon sugar butter and candied bacon.

The lounge’s owners are also the proprietors of the successful Indulge Lounge in Pier Village, Long Branch, and the newly opened seafood restaurant and market Catch – just steps away from Gotham. Make a full, satisfying night of your visit to Red Bank with dinner at Catch followed by entertainment and cocktails at Gotham or vice versa. Catch offers a convenient app that texts you when your table is ready.
