Why sit alone at home when you can work on your project while getting free coaching, patterns, coffee and snacks? The nice thing is that you don’t even need to make a purchase. And if you’re having a problem with a project you’re working on or have a question about it, one of Moore Yarn’s friendly experts would be glad assist you.
Moore Yarn also offers exciting classes and events for knitters and crocheters. If you’re a knitter of any level looking to improve your skills and learn new techniques, their Building Blocks program is perfect for you. It is a step-by-step process where each block builds on the skills learned in the previous block and teaches new skills. The program includes twelve blocks, plus two sessions on finishing so that participants learn not only how to create the blocks for an afghan/lap robe, but also how to assemble them as well. The class meets for one session each month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. to review the previous block’s lessons, learn about the new techniques and get started on the new block. The cost is $25 per session, plus the cost of the book, yarn and needles.
In addition to the Building Blocks program, Moore Yarn also hosts Sock Hops, the Hazlet Crochet Club meetups and the Tunisian Crochet Basics class. The class focuses on the Tunisian Simple, Knit and Purl stitches to create a face cloth or placemat. For the complete calendar of events, visit their website or Facebook page.
Purchase books, patterns, needles, hooks, yarn and more at Moore Yarn’s store in Hazlet or on their website. Happy stitching!
