Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza: Italian Cuisine on the Shore

There’s just something about a pizza cooked in an authentic brick oven fueled by coal. The best part is the perfect crust that’s crispy on the edges but remains chewy throughout. On the Jersey Shore, Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza Restaurant is the place to go for the incredible taste of coal fired pizza. There are over fifteen appetizing pizzas to choose from, all made with fresh ingredients. Pizza sizes are 12 inches (individual) and 16 inches (large). Slices are available until evening. Whole wheat and gluten free pizzas are also served daily. Nino’s has four NJ locations –two restaurants in Toms River, one in Brick, and one in Oakhurst.

Although Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza is best known for their coal fired pizza, they’re more than just that. Nino’s offers a myriad of Italian dishes, all from nonna’s recipes. Their homemade pastas are made fresh on the premise. Favorite pasta dishes include Pasta Primavera Di Nino, sauteed zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, eggplant and spinach in a light cream sauce tossed with penne pasta; Franca’s Lasagna, made with homemade bolognese sauce and bechamel sauce; Eggplant Antonina, roasted eggplant, garlic and carmelized onions in a rich pomodoro sauce tossed with penne pasta; and Homemade Lobster Ravioli.  All family style pasta dishes include a family style house salad.

Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza serves up some incredible entrees, including Nino’s Ultimate, fresh shrimp, chicken and veal tossed with a sherry cream deimi glaze and a touch of tarragon, served over homemade fettuccini;  Pollo or Vitello Saltimbocca, topped with prosciutto, spinach and mozzarella cheese, sauteed in sherry demi-glaze; and Coal Fired Baby Back Ribs. All family style entrees include your choice of house salad or pasta pomodoro. All family style entrees include your choice of house salad or pasta pomodoro.

For appetizers, Nino’s Coal Fired Wings are a must. Seasoned with rosemary, olive oil, and lemon juice, then baked to perfection in their coal fired oven at 1110 degrees, these wings are irresistible. For a kick, add long hot Italian peppers for hot wings.

With all that delicious food to eat, it’s going to be hard to save room for dessert! Make sure you do though because it’s the best part.  Nino’s homemade award-winning tiramisu has competed against numerous high profile bakeries and restaurants in a regional competition. Their cannolis made with homemade cream are like a taste a heaven.

Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza promises plenty of excitement throughout the week. Happy Hour happens every day at Nino’s bar from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Wednesdays, show off your talent at Nino’s Karaoke Night.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Visit on Thursdays for Trivia Night with grand prizes, giveaways and drink specials all night long. Previous grand prizes have been a sports jersey, Coach purse and Vera Bradley purse. And get a good laugh every Saturday night at Bust-A-Gut Comedy Night. The fun starts at 9 p.m.
