Who needs Pinterest when you can enjoy a day of arts and crafts by the sea, while the ocean waves crash in the background?
This is exactly what Arts and Crafts By the Sea on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk will provide Saturday, June 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place on the boardwalk between Dupont Avenue and Blaine Avenue.
This arts and crafts day will feature more than 40 artists and crafters showing their wares on the boardwalk. Shoppers can browse the handmade goods from vendors while taking in the sights, sounds, and fun of the Jersey Shore.
Looking for the perfect necklace to go with your new dress? Or just the right painting to hang over your mantle? Or maybe it’s a sweet-smelling candle you’re in the market for. Visitors can peruse through booths of arts and crafts, including photography, painting, hand-made jewelry, homemade soy candles and art works. Other vendors will offer nautical paintings, wooden birdhouses and coolers. There’s sure to be something for every taste at this annual event
After strolling the boardwalk during the event, and perhaps making some purchases from the vendors and getting a much-needed pair of earrings and painting for the living room, grab lunch or dinner at one of the many Seaside Heights Boardwalk restaurants. Snag a taco or burrito from Spicy Cantina Restaurant, or get a slice at The Sawmill. After your appetite is satisfied, grab a drink and do some people watching at Klee’s Bar and Grill or Beachcomber Bar and Grill. Or if it’s something sweet you’re craving, head over to The Music Man for a sweet treat and a show, or stop by Kohr’s Frozen Custard for an original sweet delight.
If you’re planning on visiting the Seaside Heights Boardwalk for the crafts festival, there are several different options for parking that offer an easy stroll to the boardwalk. There is metered parking from the beachfront to Central Avenue. Meters accept quarters only. There’s also private lots that can also be used and costs vary from day to day.
The Seaside Heights Boardwalk is the essential spot for Arts and Crafts By the Sea, providing the perfect backdrop to browse handmade arts and crafts with the sights and sounds of the ocean.
