Seaside Heights Boy Scout Camporee Brings Thousands of Campers to the Beach

One June 12, 13 and 14, more than 2,000 Jersey Shore area Boy Scouts and their families will take to the beach for the 5th Annual Seaside Heights Boy Scout Camporee. It’s sure to be quite the site with tents set up right on the water’s edge, and it’s sure to be a good time.

The Jersey Shore Council, working in partnership with business and officials from Seaside Heights, will host the three-day camporee.

Register for the Seaside Heights Boy scout Camporee at www.jerseyshorescouts.org. The camporee is open to Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Explorers and Venturers, as well as their families.

In previous years, the Seaside Heights Camporee was held in September, but hosting the event in the beginning of June will kick off the summer season right.

The Jersey Shore Boy Scouts recently held a camporee at Six Flags. The event was the 21st annual camping event in partnership with the organization.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

The vibrant community, bustling boardwalk, and beautiful beaches of Seaside Heights offers the perfect place to make new memories and revive old traditions for families. The wide variety of restaurants, sweet shops, arcades and other family-friendly activities make this the complete package for a weekend of camping under the stars.
