Seaside Heights Boyd Memorial Swim this Sunday, August 2nd

This Sunday marks the return of the Seaside Heights Boyd Memorial Swim. The one-mile ocean swim is being hosted by the Lifeguard Association of Seaside Heights, to honor of the memory of former Captain John J. Boyd, former Assistant Captain Hugh J. Boyd, and former Lieutenant Joe J. Boyd.

The annual open ocean swim starts at 6:30 PM at the Lincoln Avenue Beach. Beach goers can register at 4:00 PM at Hiering Avenue, Seaside Heights. In previous years, the Seaside Heights Boyd Memorial Swim has ended around 7:30 PM.

An Open Swim Means Fun, Sun and Sea Air
The Seaside Heights Boyd Memorial Swim will include awards for top four males and females in each division. It’s a fun event for swimmers and spectators alike and one of the many annual events that this popular New Jersey beach town offers. The divisions include:

  • High school
  • Masters 55/over
  • Open

Come on down and join the memorial swim! It’ll be a great way to cool off after spending the day on the Seaside Heights boardwalk!
