The Top 30 Jersey Shore Seafood Dishes in Monmouth County


Being so close to the ocean, we’re blessed with the ability to obtain some of the freshest seafood around! Multiple restaurants take advantage of this natural resource and put out some of the finest seafood dishes around. We’ve spent a good amount of time dining in the county and present our top 30 Jersey Shore seafood dishes in Monmouth County.

Jersey Shore Seafood Famous Original Mussels – Trama’s Trattoria, Long Branch
The Tuscan inspired menu at the newly opened Trama’s Trattoria has been earning rave reviews for their food and drink. Starting your meal off with Chef Pat’s Famous Mussels is a good way to experience Trama’s.

Fried Catfish – Simply Southern Cuisine, Belmar
Savannah native Rita Simmons knows her way through a southern kitchen. Order up the fried catfish and a side of hush puppies, then thank us later.


Lobster Fried Rice – Temple Gourmet Chinese, Red Bank

A whole one and ½ lbs lobster de-shelled and stirred into their famous fried rice. It’s a decadent meal meant to be shared!

Lobster Salad Sandwich – Klein’s, Belmar
With summer coming to an end, we’ll miss sitting outside at Klein’s and enjoying clams, as well as their version of a lobster roll, which is wonderful!

Pan Roasted Halibut – Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank
The Molly is one of our favorite restaurants around, and this halibut is served with a Jersey corn flan, pepper relish, pickled red onions and in a grilled scallion sauce is one of the reasons why.


Pan Seared Tile Fish, Mar Belo, Long Branch
They serve their pan seared Tile Fish over brussel sprouts with applewood smoked bacon and tomato puree. It’s a flaky, savory delight!


Scallops in Miso – Taka, Asbury Park

These perfectly seasoned scallops in a miso sauce are easily one of our favorite entrees from Taka. While their known for their sushi, Taka’s seafood entrees are out of this world.
Voo Doo Shrimp – Drew’s Bayshore Bistro, Keyport

The dish that beat Bobby Flay! This has to be one of the best shrimp dishes on the shore, or in all honesty, anywhere! It’s an iconic Jersey Shore seafood dish!
