Local filmmaker to stream “After Sandy” recovery film this Thursday
Monmouth County native Joe Minnella will be live-streaming his feature documentary that chronicles life at the Jersey Shore after Superstorm Sandy on the storm’s third year anniversary this Thursday.
“After Sandy” documents two years in the lives of several residents from the Jersey Shore and its surrounding towns during the Sandy aftermath, according to Minnella.
The film’s producer, Anthony Jude Setaro, tells us that he and Minnella began working on the documentary immediately after the storm struck.
Minnella says the film captures the recovery efforts of everyday people coming together for a common cause, while also documenting the struggles of survivors.
“After Sandy” will begin live-streaming at 8 p.m. Thursday. The filmmaker will post a link to the documentary on the Facebook page here. Watch the trailer here.
