Jersey Shore Restaurants Gear Up for Local Restaurant Month
The Foodie Event of the Year

January 28, 2016 – Monmouth and Ocean County, NJ – Jersey Shore InMotion announces Local Restaurant Month, planned for March 2016 in Ocean and Monmouth County, New Jersey. This month-long event will be the first of its kind in the area and is poised to become the most anticipated foodie event of the year. Dedicated to celebrating the unique and exciting cuisine only available on the Jersey Shore, Local Restaurant Month will be offering unprecedented exposure for area restaurants, along with a one-of-a-kind dining experience for Jersey Shore residents.

Local Restaurant Month is specifically designed to offer more flexibility to both diners and restaurant owners. By eliminating the limiting prix fixe requirement standard to traditional week-long restaurant events, the Jersey Shore Local Restaurant Month encourages chefs to put their best foot forward. Whether it is creating signature menu options just for the month, adopting a prix fixe format, or even a weekly rotating selection – the extended promotion allows diners to truly experience the best each restaurant has to offer.

“We created Local Restaurant Month in direct response to local restaurants’ and diners’ requests. A month-long event allows diners to patronize significantly more restaurants, without having to fight for reservations. Meanwhile, restaurants are afforded the flexibility and creativity needed to make the best first impression,” says Chris Grohman, cofounder of Jersey Shore InMotion.

Some of the most noteworthy restaurants and specialty food establishments in the area are taking part. Not limited to just dinner service, Local Restaurant Month includes restaurants specializing in breakfast and/or lunch, or offering BYOB, limited seating or curbside pickup. As a result, residents are able to get a taste of the widely varied local culinary scene.

“We have heard from numerous restaurants that the prix fixe model is too limiting, too short and too expensive,” says Michael Fiore, cofounder of Jersey Shore InMotion. “The new format addresses all of these concerns. At a fraction of the cost of weeklong options, with 4x the length of promotions, Local Restaurant Month is truly the most cost-effective marketing exposure for restaurants in the area.”

A sampling of participating restaurants includes:

  •         The Molly Pitcher Inn
  •         Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten
  •         B2 Bistro
  •         Patrizia’s of Red Bank
  •         The Bonney Read
  •         Front St. Trattoria
  •         Blend on Main
  •         Kim Marie’s Eat & Drink Away
  •         Chef Mike’s Atlantic Bar & Grill(ABG)

“Having a dedicated Restaurant Month, instead of just one week, will allow us the flexibility and creativity to showcase many parts of our menu and reach new patrons that might not have had the time to otherwise dine with us during a week-long event. This was one of the reasons we decided to do Local Restaurant Month with Jersey Shore InMotion over other area restaurant events” says Jennifer Lampert from Asbury Park Festhalle & Biergarten restaurant.
