Jenkinson’s Boardwalk & Aquarium
Jenkinson’s Aquarium makes one of the best Jersey Shore day trips. Kids of all ages, as well as the grownups, always enjoy seeing all the marine life at the Aquarium – particularly the penguins! Casino Pier has opened for the season, and the kids will be so excited to go enjoy all their favorite rides after it being closed for the winter. Elite Trampoline Academy

Hot Sand is offering extended hours for walk-in glassblowing all week, so you can take the kids for an awesome experience to try something new, and even take home a masterpiece with them! Gravity Vault
Gravity Vault welcomes kids to stay active this week with their Break Camp! It’s the perfect blend of climbing, fun, and games, 12pm-2pm through the 31st. Insectropolis

Island Beach State Park, Barnegat
For a slightly more out of the ordinary trip to the beach, head to Island Beach State Park. The barrier island is home to extenxive shorelines, dunes, dense forests, and lots of wildlife. It’s a great way to show the kids (and see for yourself!) what the Jersey Shore looked like centuries ago.
Twin Lights, Highlands and Mount Mitchill, Atlantic Highlands
Make the trek up to Twin Lights in the Highlands to view one of the nation’s oldest lighthouses. Also nearby is Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook with sweeping panoramic views of Raritan Bay and New York City. It is the highest coastal point on the Eastern Seaboard south of Maine.
Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook
Load up the bikes and drive into Sandy Hook for a scenic bike ride through Fort Hancock. Pack a picnic and spend the day taking in the beautiful view off Sandy Hook and appreciating some New Jersey history.
Holmdel Park and Longstreet Farm, Holmdel
At Holmdel Park, you’ll find Historic Longstreet Farm, a re-creation of 1890s rural Monmouth County. At Longstreet Farm, enjoy animals, and interpreters in period dress portraying domestic and agricultural daily life of the past. All this, as well as all the amenities of Holmdel Park, including nature trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, and the county arboretum.
Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Freehold
Take the kids on an exciting tour showcasing the famous Revolutionary War site where the legendary Molly Pitcher made her name. This park is the perfect place for hiking, horseback riding, or a picnic, and a great way to make history books come to life!
