Week Two Highlights of Jersey Shore Local Restaurant Month
It’s the second week of Jersey Shore Local Restaurant Month and things have definitely started to heat up in the kitchen of some of the Jersey Shore’s best restaurants. The first week of March was a big hit and with delicious dishes at perfect prices that are available all week long, we’re not surprised. With more than half a month left, there’s no shortage of new and exciting dishes to try and below is just a fraction of what’s available from over 50 participating restaurants!
Local Restaurant Month Week Two Highlights
Dive Coastal Bar, Sea Bright
At one of the coolest bars along the Jersey Shore, Dive Coastal Bar (1072 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright 732-268-7707) is home to one of the best Jersey Shore burger deals for the month of March. For just $18, you can go all out with your choice of beer, burger, and a dessert empanada. We’ve said it before, but we’ll say it again – Dive has one of the best burgers around!
Drew’s Bayshore Bistro, Keyport
Locals already know that Chef Drew is the King of Voodoo Shrimp, but there’s nothing wrong with trying out some of this other specialties at Drew’s Bayshore Bistro (26 Church Street, Keyport 732-739-9219), especially with his 3 course prix fixe dinner available all week long. You’ll feast on Pulled Pork Mac N’ Cheese, Spicy Garlic Mussels, Chicken & Waffles, and Crawfish Etouffee. It’s a New Orleans tradition set on Jersey’s shores.
Joe Leone’s, Point Pleasant Beach
During Local Restaurant Month, it’s not the “dine in” restaurants that get to have all the fun. Try out Joe Leone’s (600 Route 35 North, Point Pleasant Beach 732-701-0001) Sandwich of the Day for just $8.95. This week, we’ll really looking forward to Tuesday’s Grilled Chicken, Mild Provolone, Roasted Red Peppers with Pesto Mayo on Joe’s Fresh Baked Grilled Casa Bread sandwich. Because lunch is one of the second most important meal of the day.
Johnny Piancone’s, Long Branch
For an Italian Local Restaurant Month experience, Johnny Piancone’s (591 Broadway, Long Branch 732-229-0300) is an absolute must visit. For just $32, all your Italian favorites are right at your fingertips with their three-course prix fixe dinner. Order like us and go for the Mozzarella Carozza featuring prosciutto and basil and then top it with the Pan Seared Halibut that’s served over creamy risotto with a chopped tomato basil white wine sauce. Belissimo!
The Belmonte, Red Bank
This one is definitely a ringer for Local Restaurant Month. How does brunch sound? What about a complimentary cocktail? Now that we’ve got your attention, The Belmonte (3 Broad Street, Red Bank 732-741-3232) will grab your stomach because with dishes like Panqueques (that’s ricotta cheese pancakes) and Chilaquilles (a corn tortilla casserole topped with everything from queso Chihuahua to fried eggs and sausage), it’s the way to turn just a normal weekend into a fiesta.
Via 45, Red Bank
Securing a table at Via 45 (45 Broad Street, Red Bank 732-450-9945), one of the hottest restaurants in Red Bank, is like winning the lottery. And for the first half of Local Restaurant Month, it’s like winning the Mega Millions because starting at just $35, you’ll enjoy a new three-course pasta prix fixe menu that’s created each and every evening based on the best available ingredients.
The Oyster Point Hotel, Red Bank
This month, dine at one of Red Bank’s premier establishments, The Oyster Point Hotel (146 Bodman Place, Red Bank 732-530-8200), and enjoy three courses of savory to sweet dishes that will up your dinner game. Start big with the Oyster Point Baked Oysters served with spinach, bacon, garlic, leek, and Havarti cream, then go local with “Beach Hause” Dark Beer Braised Short Ribs.
Panini Bay Waterfront Restaurant, Tuckerton
Enjoy a special menu with a waterfront view at Panini Bay Waterfront Restaurant (101 Parker Road, Tuckerton 609-294-4281) during Local Restaurant Month. Chef Ivar Johnson has put together quite a menu with dishes like Pork Osso Bucco featuring 100% hormone and antibiotic free Hampshire pork shank that’s slowly braised and served over creamy polenta and braised sautéed greens.
