I’m that working mom that rushes out the door at 6:30am and doesn’t get home until 6pm. One of the hardest parts of my day is not only scrambling to make dinner, but planning a good meal. It’s hard enough walking in the door after a long day at work and then preparing a healthy meal for your family, let alone adding new things to the menu. It gets boring for us and the kids, eating the same things. Not to mentions all the times I’ve left the house forgetting to defrost dinner.

Finally, we came across Chef Dine In Meals by Chef Covas Catering, based out of Red Bank. We decided to give it a try!
The difference between this service and the last service we tried, is that Covas meals come completely cooked. All you have to do is follow the heating instructions on each meal. It couldn’t be simpler.
Ordering was easy. You can choose a meal that feeds two, four, or split the meals up (two of one and two of another, so on). The ability to choose different options helped when dealing with my picky eater.
When looking at the price, we were amazed to see the amount of food we were getting for the cost with Chef Covas Catering. And the food was prepared! If I were to buy all that was needed to make these meals, I’d be spending at least twice as much money, and even more time. The food was delicious, seasoned perfectly, and easy to heat.
One of our kids’ favorite meals was the fried chicken. It was super crispy and came with a side of coleslaw and corn on the cob. Their plates were clean! The Manicotti and Steak Fajitas came in a close second!
The salads we tried — Beet Salad, Greek Salad, and Cobb Salad — were all fresh, crisp, and delicious.
Our menus also included Tequila Lime Shrimp Skewers, Stuffed Pork Chops, Chicken Milanese, Coconut Curry Chicken and Rice, and Escarole and Bean Soup. All tasty and easy, and with such a variety of different foods, every meal was interesting!

In addition to these Chef Dine In Meals, Chef Covas Catering offers gourmet catering for any event, from luncheons and dinner parties, to weddings. They will even provide staff, equipment, flowers and décor, space, delivery and entertainment. They can also host a memorable Top Chef Birthday Party for the kids, complete with food themed & learning games, blindfold tasting, a full meal prepared by guests, personal chef hat, chef apron and wooden spoon and a tasty take-home treat!
