Two years ago, two best friends decided to take hair to the next level. They brought some of the best stylists that the industry had to offer and made them available in a membership-based salon. Now, after purchasing Colorbar The Salon in picturesque Spring Lake, their forward thinking idea turned out to be just the beginning of their beauty dreams.

Owners Ashley DeAzevedo, an operations and customer service guru and Sam Divine, a celebrity stylist who has trained under top notch stylists in Los Angeles, has successfully created a membership-based salon, bringing both luxury and exceptional quality that’s attainable to all. (These two hair moguls are also owners of Society in West Hollywood).

Rethinking Hair at Colorbar The Salon

After purchasing Colorbar The Salon, the two friends (over a couple glasses of wine) decided their salon would be fresh and innovative, offering their clients a “culture of confidence and beauty.” It was an industry breakthrough that has turned what used to be just another salon into a market leader.

But, what Ashley and Sam really enjoy about Colorbar The Salon in Spring Lake is seeing their customers light up – both in their hair and their demeanor. Ashley even describes members and employees as a growing family, sharing tips and tricks with every visit.

“We’re giving our clients the opportunity to take care of themselves at an affordable price,” said Ashley who enjoys seeing women (and men) who may not have taken care of themselves get the boost they deserve. “The transformation of our clients is something we love.”

Memberships vary in price and packaging. The Dri Bar membership is perfect for ladies looking for blowout. For those looking for a bit more maintenance that includes unlimited haircuts and single process color, the Mane Bar may be more your style. There’s even the Mug Club for men and a children’s club as well. If you don’t want to commit, Colorbar The Salon also offers a la carte services. Whatever you choose, you’re guaranteed to leave with picture perfect locks and some pep in your step.

With countless salons in the area, what makes Colorbar The Salon unique besides its membership-based program? According to Ashley, it’s their commitment to education for their stylists.

“I believe we have one of the best salons in the area, hands down. We saturate our staff with education about new methods,” said Ashley who shared that three of their stylists were just certified in Balayage, the latest French technique that produces a sun kissed natural look without the harsh ridge line (this also means you can go longer in between touch ups!), while another stylist is headed to Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica for advanced cutting technique training. Two of their  stylists will also be training to become part of an elite group of colorists (less than 300 nationally) called “Wella Master Color Experts” this fall in New York City.

As summer comes to a close and fall approaches, it may be the perfect time to try out Colorbar The Salon. Transition your hair from summer to fall with a Keratin treatment or lighten up and strengthen those strands with Olaplex, a treatment that rebuilds hair from the inside out while adding color.

Cut, color, blowouts, or highlights, the expert stylists at Colorbar The Salon is the place to get your hair back in shape. You already have a gym membership, it’s time to give your locks the workout they deserve with a membership of their own.
