However, the Jersey Shore Chef’s Challenge is not just about the food who’s major beneficiary will be the Kay Guadagno Memorial Fund at Monmouth Medical Center (MMC). In her more than 35-year tenure as the Assistant Vice President of Community Relations and Ambulatory Services at Monmouth Medical Center, Kay was a guiding force in strengthening relationships between MMC and the surrounding communities. Her ties to the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce were especially tight, and the Chef’s Challenge was a much loved event for her. The Chamber of Commerce along with Monmouth Medical Center, Investors Bank, Flowers by Van Brunt, the City of Long Branch Office of Community and Economic Development and Jersey Shore InMotion are also proud sponsors of this event featuring the best of the best at the Jersey Shore.
“I’d like to thank the chefs and demonstrators for taking the time to participate in the Fifth Annual Jersey Shore Chef’s Challenge,” said Committee Chairman Chef Sam Nativo. ” We’re hoping to enlighten the public on what fine dining looks like here on the Jersey Shore.” (Hint: It’s delicious!)
