Outdoor Fun in Toms River and Brick

Beaches and Waterfront
These two towns provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the salty air. Take your pick from one of Brick’s three oceanfront beaches or enjoy a day on the riverfront at Windward Beach Park. Families can enjoy everything from playgrounds to volleyball nets, seasonal fireworks, picnic tables, bocce courts, and fishing and crabbing piers. Admission to Windward Beach Park is free.

Dog Park at Angela Hibbard Park, Brick
Your four legged family members also deserve a day out on the town. Bring them to Brick’s first dog park at Angela Hibbard Park. They’ll make some friends and so will you, just don’t say hi by sniffing you know what…

From Cabernets to Syrahs, and Merlots, you and your friends can make your own wine starting with just shipped California grape varieties or if you want to skip straight to the good stuff, they also offer regular tastings. But hurry, grapes are limited (luckily for us, the wine never runs out.)

Rinn Duin Brewing, Toms River

We really can’t get enough of quality craft beer and Rinn Duin Brewing is no exception. Started by father and daughter team, Chip and Jacqui Town, Rinn Duin Brewing is a walk through their family’s history. Everyone deserves to be pampered. At Simply Skin Spa, you’ll get the treatment you deserve. Enjoy a manicure, facial, and massage by one of the spa’s experienced professionals all in a relaxing environment. It’s the perfect way to recharge that battery of yours.

Brick and Toms River Events

Whether it’s a foodie event or a festival that gets the entire family involved, there are plenty of reasons to head out to these Jersey Shore towns throughout the year. Don’t miss Brick’s Fall Fest and Food Truck Festival in October where foodies will get to check out some of the state’s best food trucks. Families are also invited to celebrate the harvest with Toms River’s Harvest Arts Festival in October. The event brings together the best that fall has to offer from arts and crafts to some tasty bites.

Throughout the summer, there’s no shortage of entertainment. It all starts off in May with the NJ State Chili and Salsa Cook Off in Toms River. This annual event has proven to bring together some of the state’s top competitors when it comes to chili and salsa – two of our favorite spicy foods. Just as the nights are getting hot in July, Toms River officially kicks off summer with the Downtown Summer Festival. To top it off, every second Wednesday from June through September is Cruisin Downtown in Toms River, an event celebrating classic cars and summer nights.
