According to your doctor, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. As self-proclaimed breakfast and brunch enthusiasts, we ate through dishes of pancakes, waffles, eggs, and bagels to bring you this list of some of our favorite Jersey Shore Breakfast and Brunch restaurants in Monmouth and Ocean County. Please note that some of these places are open for breakfast every day, while others may only serve brunch on weekends.

This task was not an easy one. New Jersey is a state that prides itself on its ability to master the pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich, the bagel, and every diner specialty you can imagine. There are also a number of great places that are putting their own spin on those classic dishes.

Whether you wake up craving sweet or savory, Toast has you covered every day of the week with their selection of omelettes, pancakes, bennys, and more. Something about Toast has the locals positively obsessed with it. We’re thinking it might be the Red Velvet Pancakes. Dive, Sea Bright

Hot Bagels Brooklyn’s Finest, Red Bank
Freshly baked old-style Brooklyn bagels that are made on the hour in Red Bank? Sign us up. Hot Bagels is a newly opened business, but their family bagel recipe dates back 40+ years. On our recent visit for breakfast we maximized our options and ordered this beauty called the Broad Street Bully. Klein’s Fish Market and Waterside Cafe, Belmar

The French Market, Rumson
The French Market is located on East River Road in Rumson. If you havent been in yet, definitely put them on your to-do list. Since opening in 2015, the French Market has been creating some wonderful breakfast and lunch creations for their guests. The breakfast menu has a wide variety of croissants, breakfast rolls, omelettes and crepes.
