Coming back for yet another year of delicious food, live entertainment, and those can’t miss sangria mason jars is Savor Lounge, located in one of the Jersey Shore’s hottest summer towns. The doors of this Seaside Heights mainstay will open after a long winter on May 19th, with the party officially beginning Memorial Day Weekend. So what’s new this year? Read on to find out!
Once the doors swing open, you can expect something to do from Wednesday through Sunday because Savor Lounge is bringing back some of their most sought after weekly specials. From Wednesday through Sunday you’re guaranteed to find something that will intrigue you to stop by and savor the moment.
Starting off the week on “hump day” is “Corks 4 Cause” where diners are invited to bring their own bottle of wine to dinner. The catch? A $4 corking fee that will be donated to Wounded Warriors and Ocean for Love at the end of the summer season. Who can’t drink to that? On Thursdays, they’re kicking it up a notch to get ready for the weekend with their $26 prix fixe three-course menu featuring dishes like Linguini and Clams and Sunday Meatballs. Best part? You don’t need to be an early bird to catch this deal because it’s available all night long.
From Friday through Sunday, Savor Lounge turns into your one weekend stop – dinner, drinks, music, and dancing – all right at your fingertips with no need to drive from place to place. No matter what type of music you’re looking for, from Sinatra to Mariah, there’s an evening for you. After dinner drinks never sounded so good!
With the help of the SCE Event Group and a set of rotating DJs playing all the hits of the 1990s through the 2000s, Friday nights aka “Circa Ninety-Nine” just got a whole lot hotter. This year, Savor Lounge is getting jiggy with it by introducing bottle service to the mix. Reserve your outdoor booth (there’s limited availability so book yours soon!) and enjoy a night out under the stars with friends. Sounds like the best (bachelorette, birthday, get together for no reason) party you ever went to? Yea, way, way better! It’s a #flashbackFriday that’s definitely worthy of an Instagram post.
One of the busiest nights of the week is Saturday, partly because of $5 Sangria Mason Jars (a huge hit every summer), but also because DJ Jerry Demeo is coming back to spin all your favorite 80s era disco and dance. It’s an ode to the days of Joey Harrison’s Surf Club generation so get your Hawaiian shirt out of storage!
Just because you’re closing out the weekend doesn’t mean you should sit home. Sunday deserves it’s own time in the spotlight and with the help of Atlantic City headliner and singer/songwriter, Gerard Esposito, performing and singing all your Rat Pack classics, it’ll easily rival the rest of your weekend. Now in it’s 10th year, the “Sunday Summit” is back with Gerard Esposito at the helm to sing you out of your weekend.
Now that we know Savor Lounge is bringing the music, what about the flavor? Executive Chef Christian Corson is making sure that there’s just as much to savor on the menu. No stranger to the bustling scenes of major restaurants (a chef at Atlantic City’s Robert’s Steakhouse and Executive Chef at the Essex and Sussex Hotel in Spring Lake), Corson is taking familiar flavor combinations and putting a modern spin on them.
Expect familiar ingredients (think tons of seafood, pasta, and steak dishes) with a refined approach. But don’t worry, past favorites will still keep their spot on the 2017 menu. They’ll even be a fun contemporary American bar menu made up of the perfect snacks to go along with your after beach cocktail!
Outdoor seating, a refined menu without the stuffy atmosphere, toe tapping music, and good friends, it’s all happening at Savor Lounge who’s making it their prerogative to make 2017 the summer to remember.
