Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, which means summer has started… unofficially. To add to your epic parties and BBQs, the Downtown Toms River Farmer’s Market has everything you need to whip up a very Jersey feast.

Downtown Toms River Farmer Market Offers Seasonal Jersey Fresh Produce

Thanks to a rainy spring, the Downtown Toms River Farmer’s Market is the place to pick up all the ingredients you need to make your very own “farm to table” dinner. Now in the Ocean County Parking Garage Lawn (28-46 Hadley Avenue), with free parking in the Ocean County Parking Garage, four NJ fresh produce farmers and one organic farmer are showing you the countless reasons why New Jersey is known as the “Garden State.”

Stop by for everything from seasonal fruits (the strawberries are perfectly juicy right now), vegetables (get your greens on with an assortment of lettuces, kales, collards, and chard), and plants and herbs (because it’s also fun to have your own garden!) Round out your fresh produce with freshly baked goods, Italian specialties, New Jersey honey, pickles, olive oils, and salts. There’s even plenty to go around for your sweet tooth with nuts and candies and Delicious Devil Brownies.

If you’re in the area and just looking for lunch, grab a smoothie from the food truck or go savory with hot dogs and pulled pork. You can even grab a bottle of vino from Cream Ridge Winery along with your cup of coffee!

Running every Wednesday from May 24th through November 15th, the Downtown Toms River Farmer’s Market will not only feature fresh produce and New Jersey made products, but they’ll also feature a seasonal fruit and vegetable on the first Wednesday of every month. From strawberries and lettuces in June to blueberries and corn in July, August’s ripe peaches and juicy tomatoes, September’s plums and eggplants, to October’s crisp apples and pumpkins, there’s always something new going on. If that wasn’t enough, you can also enter to win a basket (for free!) that’s packed with that month’s Jersey Fresh produce.
