Spend the Day at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk Where There’s Always Something to Do Rain or Shine

We all do it. Once the work week starts, we check the weather forecast on our phone, hoping that Friday through Sunday will be full of sun. But sometimes, those little bright icons turn to clouds, attempting to deter us from living out our weekends to their fullest potential. Well, don’t let those weather forecasts dampen your spirits (90% of the time they’re wrong anyway!) At Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Pt. Pleasant Beach there’s always something to do with your family no matter what the weather is like!

Jenkinson’s Boardwalk Is Always Open: Rain or Shine!

Whether they’re calling for partly sunny, partly cloudy, rainy, or bright sunshine – Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Pt. Pleasant Beach has plenty to do to keep your family enjoying every minute of their summer vacation. “Cloudy days” are perfect for a round of mini golf at Castaway Cove or Lighthouse Point and some time spent at the amusement park where you’ll find everything from roller coasters to the classic merry-go-round that will make any kid smile, even teenagers. (And we’ll let you in on a little secret, not only are cloudy days great for the boardwalk, they’re actually perfect beach days – just ask any local!)

If the cloudy forecast comes to fruition (or you just need a break from the sun), there’s plenty to do on the boardwalk just steps away. From seven different indoor arcades where you can play skeeball till your hearts content to a Fun House, two 7-D Dark Rides featuring zombies or werewolves, and an Adventure Lookout rope course, there’s something for everyone.

Visit some of the marine animals at one of the boardwalk’s biggest attractions, the Jenkinson’s Aquarium where if you time it up right you can watch a shark feeding, some penguins playing, and touch live sea stars and sting rays. For those that are still looking for boardwalk fun, step into one of the many boutiques and gift shops (including the aquariums) where you can bring home a hermit crab or maybe a stuffed animal (no feeding required!)

Now that you’ve probably worked up an appetite, it’s time to visit one of the boardwalk’s many restaurants, whether you’re craving a large pizza slice, some seafood, or maybe some sweets, they’ve got your cravings covered from cocktail drinks to ice cream!

Jenkinson’s Boardwalk is also home to countless summer activities that are always going on – no matter what the weather is! Stay late for Monday night Kiddie Beach Shows, Wednesday Beach Blanket Bingo, and Friday’s free movies on the beach.

Families can also take advantage of daily specials including $20 Wristband Tuesdays and Fridays for unlimited rides and Perky’s Package where you can visit the aquarium, fun house, Castaway Cove, and Pavilion Arcade for just $25 per adult and $18 per child. Or, for those 110% committed to a day that’s packed with everything that Jenkinson’s Boardwalk has to offer, check out the “No Limits Package” where you’ll get admission to everything from the beach to the fun house, 7D Dark Ride, mini golf, and more for just $80.

So the next time the forecast says “partly cloudy,” think of it as “partly sunny” and don’t cancel your plans! Instead, pack the kids in the car and head to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk for some fun in the sun, clouds, or rain is always guaranteed!
