Welcome to This Week in Seaside Heights!
Each week through the fall, we’ll be telling you about fun events and activities in the family-friendly resort just across the road from Exit 82!
The 2017 season will be the best yet in Seaside Heights. It began in February with the Polar Bear Plunge and ends on New Year’s Eve with First Night Ocean County.
The summer season kicked off in mid-May with the Jersey Shore Festival and entered second gear over Memorial Day weekend.
Now, in final gear with summer vacation season winding down, be sure to enjoy Seaside Heights’ diverse array of a exciting major and weekly events, including free concerts, bonfires, movies, camping, and more!
And of course, let’s not forget the bay and ocean beaches, arcades, restaurants, games of chance, and Casino Pier & Breakwater Beach. It’s always a great time to visit Seaside Heights!

Events for August 21 – August 27
August 21: Guitars-by-the-Fire – Joey B – Hiering Ave Beach – Dusk – 10:30 p.m.
Bring your beach chairs and blankets to the Hiering Ave Beach. While the fire burns, sit back and enjoy the acoustic sounds of local singers and songwriters. We start as the sun goes down and keep the fire burning until approximately 10:30 p.m.
August 21: Boardwalk Concert Series – Sounds of the Street – Franklin Ave. stage – 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Sounds of the Street will be performing your favorite doo wop songs.
August 21: Bonfire on the Beach – Hiering Ave Beach – Dusk – 11 p.m.
Bring your beach blankets for our family-friendly Bonfire on the Beach summer series. While the bonfire burns, sit back and enjoy the acoustical sounds of local singers and songwriters.
August 22: Bring a Friend Day
Bring your bestie to the beach in Seaside Heights for 2-for-1 beach admission.
August 22: Movies on the Beach – Sing – Fremont Avenue beach at dusk
Enjoy Sing under the stars.
August 23: Fireworks! – Find a spot along the boardwalk and enjoy the show. 9:30 p.m.
August 24: Junk Rock Drummers – On the boardwalk, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Who needs actual instruments to play great music? Not these guys!
August 25: NJ 101.5’s Big Joe Henry LIVE Broadcast – On the boardwalk, 7 – 11 p.m.
This summer, join America’s Biggest Disc Jockey, Big Joe Henry from The Big Joe Henry Show on New Jersey’s most listened to radio station, NJ 101.5. Big Joe will broadcast his weekend radio show LIVE from 7pm-11pm on August 25th where he will be “Livin Large and Lovin Life” on the Classic American Boardwalk.
August 25-26: Full Moon Beach Camping – 7 p.m. to sunrise on the North Beach
Registration for the beach camping event is closed but be sure to check out the long lines of tents on the beach!
August 25: Local band spotlight: DICE – Carteret Ave stage – 7 – 9 p.m.
Enjoy live music from local band DICE.
August 27: Movies on the Beach – Finding Nemo – Fremont Avenue beach at dusk
Enjoy Finding Nemo under the stars.
August 27: Family Fun Nights – North Beach/Fremont Avenue, 6:30 p.m. – dusk
Participants are invited to be a part of tug-of-war, long jump, hula hoop, hurdles, Frisbee golf, and various other activities. The center piece of these activities is our large inflatable obstacle course.
AUGUST SPECIALS:
Teacher Appreciation Days.
School teachers and their spouse and children. Free beach admission on Mondays in August (August 7, 14, 21, and 28). Must present your school employee ID at the beach control office located at Kearney Ave & Boardwalk or Blaine Ave & Boardwalk.
Police/Fire/EMT Appreciation Days.
Show your badge or public safety employee ID and you and your spouse and children can enjoy free beach admission on Fridays in August (August 4, 11, 18, and 25). Stop by one of the beach control offices located at Kearney Ave & Boardwalk or Blaine Ave & Boardwalk for your wristbands.
Have an Ocean County student ID or Ocean County Library Card?
Present your school ID or library card Monday through Friday in August and pay $4 per wristband for you and your spouse, parent or child (12 yrs of age and older). Stop by one of the beach control offices located at Kearney Ave & Boardwalk or Blaine Ave & Boardwalk for your wristbands.
Do you have a 2017 season beach badge for any Ocean County beach?
Visit one of the Seaside Heights beach control offices located at Kearney Ave & Boardwalk or Blaine Ave & Boardwalk, present your “other beach” season beach badge, and receive your Seaside Heights beach wristband for only $4. Valid in August, Monday through Friday
