Autumn is the perfect time to get out, explore new places in the Garden State and take in the cool, crisp air. Holland Ridge Farms – Cream Ridge
During the springtime, Holland Ridge Farms has, no exaggeration, millions of tulips on their 300+ acre farm in Cream Ridge for you to pick and take home. Running from September 13 – October 14, is their 7th Annual Fall Flower festival, complete with creative photo backdrops, food trucks, live music, and of course millions of rainbow blooms. Their expansive flower fields are bursting with colorful blooms including cheerful sunflowers, majestic gladiolus, elegant calla lilies, dazzling dahlias, and more. Happy Day Farm- Manalapan
There’s no shortage of fun when you visit Happy Day Farm in Manalapan. Included in the price of admission to the farm, you have access to all of the Zinnias and Sunflowers on the property. Right now they are in full bloom and look as colorful as ever. The sunflowers are only $2.50 a stem so give the farm a visit this September and October for their Fall Fest and take home some flowers. Ward’s Farm – Mannington Township
Ward’s Farm in Salem has been Farm to Vase since 2012. A really cool event they have running this September is the BYOB Date Night and Picnic Day: Sips & Sunsets in the Flower Fields. The farm will be open for you to bring your partner or a group of friends to sit and enjoy their sunflowers, cut flowers, and wildflower fields. Walking Bird Farm – Egg Harbor City
Walking Bird Farm in Egg Harbor City has Pick Your Own vegetables and fruits all year round. Pick strawberries in the spring, blueberries in the summer and Raspberries in the mid-Fall. The raspberries are still a work in progress but they will be ready for picking soon. Silverton Farms loves local just as much as we do and they’ve been committed to providing the community with organic produce for the past 25 years.
