A Local’s Guide to the Juiciest and Tastiest Jersey Shore Burgers

A Local’s Guide to the Juiciest and Tastiest Jersey Shore Burgers

There are few things better than chowing down on a big, juicy burger. Toasty bun, melty cheese, and maybe a few intriguing toppings – some chefs craft their burgers with a twist, and we’re not complaining!

You won’t see any chain restaurants ranked among our Jersey Shore Burger Guide, just locally owned restaurants that rock some seriously juicy, creative, and delicious burgers that are truly one of a kind!

A Jersey Shore Local’s Guide to Amazing Jersey Shore Burgers (Monmouth/Ocean Edition)

The Blended Burger at Graze Restaurant
When Chef /Owner Laercio “Junior” Chamon Jr. and his team transformed Zoe’s into Graze Restaurant over the summer we couldn’t wait to see the menu. The interior of the restaurant has been totally transformed as has the menu which prides itself on having an abundance of locally sourced ingredients. You’ll find meats, seafood and produce are often coming from just miles away in the Garden State. That being said, the Blended Burger has already earned itself a spot as the first entree on the menu. Right now, the Blended Burger has no description on their menu. This unintentional mistake has resulted in the Blended Burger having an ever-changing blend of meats and ingredients. Each time you visit you can have a different Blended Burger experience. Don’t miss this one. 151 Markham Place, Little Silver (732) 747-9988 or on the web http://graze.restaurant/menu/

Chef’s Dare Burger at Peach Pit Cafe
We know the name has the word “dare” in the title, but you don’t ever have to dare us to eat this burger. House cured bacon, Jersey pork roll, a crispy onion ring, melted cheddar, jalapeno, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg… yes. There’s really nothing else to say. 152 Main Street, Manasquan 732-223-4748 blendonmain.com/peach-pit-cafe/

Halle Burger at Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten
When it comes to burgers, you may not think of a Biergarten as having a droolworthy burger, but they proved us wrong. All hail the Halle Burger, a delicious hunk of meat topped with tangy red onion slaw, gooey Muenster cheese, tart tomato jam, and a fluffy brioche bun. They also have a killer veggie burger for vegetarian burger lovers. 527 Lake Avenue, Asbury Park (732) 997-8767 http://www.asburybiergarten.com/

Kobe Burger at The Bistro
The Bistro’s Kobe Burger may just be one of our favorite burgers around! Their Kobe Burger is served on a buttery brioche bun topped with melted Monterey Jack cheese, spring mix, tomato and fried onions. It’s served with Parmesan-herb fries and pickles. Its juicy burger perfection! You can even include it in a three course prix fixe dinner on Monday & Tuesday nights! 14 Broad Street, Red Bank (732) 530-5553 http://www.thebistroatredbank.com/

The Bonney Burger at The Bonney Read
At heart, The Bonney Read is a classic chowder house with an unbeatable seafood menu. But that doesn’t mean they can’t whip up an awesome burger! The Bonney Burger is a tangy take on a classic cheeseburger – Angus, New York cheddar, lettuce, sundried-tomato jam, and thousand island dressing. It’s something you’ll definitely want to try. 533 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park (732) 455-3352 http://www.thebonneyread.com/

“Jersey Burger” at McDonagh’s Pub
We’d be a little crazy not to include McDonagh’s “Jersey Burger” on our list of best burgers on the Jersey Shore. It’s a burger topped with – you guessed it – pork roll and American cheese, all piled onto warm Texas Toast. Give us a plate of that greasy goodness!  2 West Front Street, Keyport (732) 264-0999 http://www.mcdonaghs.com/

Shark Burger at Chef Mike’s Atlantic Bar & Grill
In 2012, Chef Mike Jurusz introduced the Mark the Shark Burger in honor of Mark, a young foodie and big fan of hamburgers. Mark passed away in 2010 from cancer, but his memory lives on as Chef Mike serves up the burger that was inspired by Mark. The Mark the Shark Burger is topped with bacon, white American cheese, lettuce, tomato, coleslaw, and half-sour pickles on a fresh-baked Joe Leone roll. Proceeds benefit the Ashley Lauren Foundation that helps families fighting pediatric cancer. We can’t think of a better reason to eat a burger right now. 24th & Central Avenue, South Seaside Park (732) 854-1588 http://chefmikesabg.com/

Gyro Burger at Burger 25
It’s not hard to believe that the burger from Burger 25 in Toms River was recently named the best in New Jersey by MSN and the Best of the Best by New Jersey readers. What is hard to believe, is that the owners, husband and wife team Steve and Denise Vetter and sister Christine Kedves, had very little experience with the restaurant business when they signed on the dotted line. But honestly, at this point, who cares. They’ve got the magic formula and we’re just happy to eat it! With so many options it is a safe bet that you’ll become a repeat customer. For your first experience, pop in on a Monday for 1/2 off Burger Night. 1611 Route 37 East (732) 270-0025 http://www.burger25.com/

BeachTavernBT Burger at Beach Tavern
Although relatively new to Monmouth Beach, Beach Tavern has been making waves with some amazing food and killer water views. This custom burger is no different. Made with a blend of brisket, short rib and sirloin it has easily ranked up as a favorite on our list. The Old Bay fries are a home run. If you happen to find yourself with a fish lover, try the Cod Po’ Boy Sandwich. Beach Tavern’s Burger Night falls every Tuesday starting at 4pm. 33 West Street, Monmouth Beach  (732) 870-8999 http://beachtavern.net/

Bison Burger at Kitch Organic
This organic and gluten-free restaurant is another locally owned business that is turning out some wonderful food. It is served medium rare with homemade garden fresh horseradish sauce, lettuce, tomato and red onion. No bun here. Just homemade sweet potato focaccia bread! Check it out and thank us later. 75 Leighton Avenue, Red Bank (732) 741-5400 http://www.kitchorganic.com/

Burger with Cheddar Cheese Suace at The Pour House
The Pour House is one of our favorite iconic Jersey Shore restaurants for a reason – for 31 years, they’ve been known for having great food and outstanding burgers. Whatever burger you decide to order, make sure it’s smothered in their homemade cheddar cheese sauce. That stuff is liquid gold. 640 Shrewsbury Ave, Tinton Falls (732) 842-4337 http://www.pourhouserestaurant.com/

Kim Marie Burger at Kim Marie’s Eat & Drink Away
We know Kim Marie’s Eat & Drink Away for their
great sandwiches,  killer weekend breakfast and one of the best Happy Hours in Asbury Park. However, their burger has won us now over on more than one occasion at Happy Hour and we wanted to get the word out. The Kim Marie Burger is a choice of American, Cheddar or Swiss cheese with the option of added bacon, mushrooms and sauteed onions. We recommend you load it up with options and enjoy. 1411 Kingsley, Asbury Park (732) 774-6666 http://www.kimmarieseatndrinkaway.com/

Tavern Burger at Val’s Tavern
Val’s is known for their crispy thin-crust lobster pizza, but their 10 oz. Tavern Burger is very underrated. It’s a classic cheeseburger, served with chips and a pickle, at one of the Shore’s most family-friendly restaurants. A solid contender for the Jersey Shore’s best burgers. 123 E River Rd, Rumson (732) 842-3452 http://www.valstavern.com/
